Amey (b. 1997) is a mechanical engineer turned independent visual artist primarily working in image-making practices. He is M.Des in Photography Design (Communication design) from the National Institute of Design, currently based out of Delhi NCR. His practice involves lens-based visual creation with outputs ranging from digital media, analogue and historic printing, books, zines, and video.
Amey’s practice is based on exploring self and identity, works that delve into events of the past and has created and showcased photographic projects, zines and moving image exhibits. His current works incline to engage in larger issues addressing ecological destruction and land occupation. Amey also engages in archival practices and is currently working on a biographical (Prakash Parkhi) archive to create a book of pictures.
Commercially, he has worked in different capacities in his past as a Campaign strategist, filmmaker/editor, photographer, art director and actively takes up freelance design/art projects. He keeps a keen interest in designing physical spaces and is always on the lookout for creating and exploring spatial experiences.

Amey is experienced with prominent visual production gears, academic and professional exposure to studio equipment and functionalities, with an interdisciplinary understanding of all editorial and commercial visual media production outputs like stop motion pixilation, 2D Animation, advanced typography, print design, book/zine making, basic sound design, web design, AR-VR tools, 360 Imaging and editing.
He has storyboarded moving-image and film work and has experience in creative and set direction for filmmaking and photography projects. He uses Adobe Creative Suite applications—Bridge, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom Classic for image processing and printing; Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition for video post-production; Dragonframe and Studio 360 for other visual media; and enterprise software like SAP and CRM—Salesforce/Salesflare.
