Amey is an engineer turned independent multidisciplinary artist currently pursuing his Masters in design majoring photography design at National Institute of Design, currently based out of Mumbai. His practise is primarily lens based visual creation with creating outputs ranging in forms of digital, analogue and historic printing, books, zines, and new media, video.
Amey’s practise is based on exploring self and identity, works that delve into events of past and has created and showcased photographic projects, zines and moving image exhibits.
His current works incline to address larger issues related to ecological destruction and land occupation. His last exhibition named Horizon revolving around the above thematic was exhibited at NID design gallery as a part of semester design project. Amey also engages in archival practises and is currently working on a biographical archive, to create a book of pictures as a part of his dissertation.
He has worked in different capacities in his past as a Campaign strategist, Film maker/editor, photographer, art director and actively takes up freelance design/Art projects. He keeps a keen interest in designing physical spaces and always on a hunt to create and explore spatial experiences.

Amey is experienced with prominent visual production gears academic and professional exposure to studio equipment and functionalities with an interdisciplinary understanding of all editorial and commercial visual media production outputs like stop motion pixilation, 2D Animation, advanced typography, print design, book/zine making, basic sound design, web design, AR-VR tools, 360 Imaging and editing.
He has storyboarded moving image/film work and has experience in creative direction and set direction in filmmaking and photography projects. He has extensively used Adobe Creative Suite applications like Bridge, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, After Effects and Audition for Photo/Video post projects, Dragonframe, Studio 360 for other visual media and enterprise softwares like SAP, CRM - Salesforce/Salesflare .
